Most tactical packs are designed around the rifleman. They assume the contents are smaller than the pack. A precision rifle system with a suppressor attached, a spotting scope, a tripod, and long-range optics changes that equation entirely. Standard assault packs cannot carry these items without external strapping that degrades mobility and attracts attention.

SKILI Gear's solution is the patented pass-through design: a structural workspace that opens along the spine of the pack, allowing long items to pass through the center of the bag while the rest of the loadout organizes around them. The system uses an 8-layer Tegris composite panel for rigidity and attachment, combined with 500D Cordura for the exterior shell. Solution-dyed fabrics across the entire platform ensure the material itself is NIR-transparent, making SKILI packs invisible to infrared detection equipment in a way that many surface-dyed competitors are not.

Ghost Pack

The Ghost Pack is the flagship of the SKILI Gear platform. At 30 liters, it is large enough to sustain a multi-day precision shooting or reconnaissance mission while remaining compact enough for infil and exfil scenarios where pack profile matters. The patented interior workspace spans 48 x 51 cm (19" x 20"), fully lined with loop-compatible material for attaching SKILI accessories, organizers, and inserts directly inside the main compartment.

A removable 9.5mm aluminum frame provides structural support and shapes the pack around the body. The Tegris composite attachment panel on the rear exterior accepts two G-Hook straps for securing equipment to the outside of the pack. The shoulder harness is a dual-piece design with separate padding channels, and the lumbar pad uses dual-layer foam for comfort on longer carries.

The interior includes a hammock suspension for a CamelBak hydration bladder, keeping it stable and away from the main workspace. Four cinch points and a midpoint cinch strap allow the load to be compressed and stabilized as contents change during a mission. Two fully loop-lined outer pockets provide organized access to frequently needed items, and a zero-depth top pocket handles anything that needs to be immediately reachable without opening the main compartment.

Ghost EX

The Ghost EX is the extended version of the Ghost Pack. It keeps the same patented pass-through system, the same Tegris composite attachment panel, and the same internal removable frame, but adds a significantly enlarged front utility compartment for missions that require extended sustainment capability beyond what the base Ghost carries.

The enlarged front compartment is fully loop-lined, allowing it to be configured with SKILI accessories the same way as the main workspace. This additional volume accommodates sustained field equipment including food, water purification, additional ammunition, optics, medical supplies, and communications gear, without any of it competing for space in the main long-item workspace.

The Ghost EX also upgrades the shoulder padding over the base Ghost Pack. For extended operations where the pack is worn across multiple days, the difference in comfort is meaningful. The suspension system geometry is otherwise unchanged, preserving the load-distribution characteristics that make the Ghost effective under load.

Two Fidlock magnetic buckles provide faster one-handed access to the front compartment compared to the Ghost's standard buckles. The Ghost EX is fully compatible with The Unit modular insert, all SKILI accessories, the Support Belt EX, and the Dangler EX.

Phantom Pack

The Phantom Pack uses the same design language and material stack as the Ghost but in a more compact footprint. It is built for operators and shooters who need the SKILI pass-through workspace in a smaller package, whether for day missions, vehicle operations, or situations where total pack size needs to stay minimal.

The Phantom's workspace measures 43 x 43 cm (17" x 17") and is fully loop-lined for the same accessory integration as the Ghost. The single-piece shoulder strap design keeps the harness slim and reduces interference with plate carriers or chest rigs. Like the Ghost, the Phantom includes a removable aluminum frame and a Tegris composite rear panel with two G-Hook straps for external attachment.

Two outer pockets with loop-lined interiors provide organized access to frequently needed gear. A zero-depth top pocket handles items that need immediate access. The midpoint cinch strap and four cinch points stabilize the load as the workspace fills or empties during a mission. The Phantom is hydration compatible and shares the same NIR-silent solution-dyed fabrics as the rest of the SKILI lineup.

The Phantom uses single-piece shoulder straps rather than the Ghost's dual-piece design. This lowers the harness profile for operators wearing a plate carrier alongside the pack, but provides less independent adjustment range for different torso lengths.

Both the Ghost and Phantom platforms share the same Tegris composite load management architecture, solution-dyed fabrics, and modular accessory compatibility.

Ghost vs. Phantom: Choosing the Right Platform

Both packs use the same 500D Cordura and 8-layer Tegris composite construction, the same solution-dyed NIR-silent fabrics, and the same patented pass-through workspace. The differences come down to capacity, harness design, and intended mission duration.

The Ghost Pack is the better option for multi-day deployments, longer rifle systems, and loadouts that require more sustained organization. Its dual-piece shoulder harness provides more adjustment range and comfort during extended wear, and its larger workspace accommodates more accessories mounted directly inside. The Ghost EX extends this capability with an enlarged front compartment for operators who need greater volume without leaving the Ghost platform.

The Phantom is the better option when total pack size needs to stay small, when the mission duration is shorter, or when the single-piece shoulder straps provide a better fit alongside a plate carrier. It also works well in vehicle-based environments where a larger pack would be impractical to store and maneuver with.

The Unit: Modular Mission Insert

The Unit mounts inside either the Ghost or Phantom workspace and converts the pack to a specific mission role in seconds.

The Unit is SKILI Gear's modular mission insert. It is a self-contained five-zipper system that mounts inside the Ghost or Phantom workspace using the loop surface, and configures the pack for a specific operational role. When the mission changes, The Unit transfers between packs without tools.

SKILI designed The Unit around six configurations: subgun insert, launcher insert, drone insert, medical insert, sniper insert, and comms insert. Each version organizes the interior specifically for that role, with padded dividers, dedicated pockets, and loop-lined compartments sized for the mission's specific equipment. The exterior dimensions are 43 x 22 x 9 cm (17" x 8.5" x 3.5") and the unit weighs approximately 450 grams (1 lb).

Accessories and the SKILI Ecosystem

SKILI Gear's accessory system is built around the Tegris composite panel found in every Ghost and Phantom pack. Each accessory either mounts to the Tegris panel or attaches inside the loop-lined workspace, creating a fully integrated system where every component is purpose-designed for the platform.

Support Belt EX

The Support Belt EX connects to the Ghost and Phantom harness systems and offloads weight from the shoulders to the hips. It is designed for extended operations where reducing shoulder fatigue is a priority. The EX version provides additional stiffness and load transfer capacity over the standard Support Belt, making it the appropriate choice for the Ghost EX under heavier loads.

Dope Book

A field data book with a Tegris composite cover, designed to mount directly to the workspace loop surface or the exterior Tegris panel. The Dope Book protects field notes, range cards, and ballistic data in conditions where standard notebooks would be damaged or destroyed.

Long Action and Short Action Bullet Cards

Rigid ammunition organizer cards with a Tegris composite shell that mount to the workspace or exterior panel. The Long Action Bullet Card accommodates larger rifle calibres, and the Short Action version handles standard and short-action calibres. Both use a secure retention system that allows single-handed access during use.

Universal Tegris Card and MOLLE Card

The Universal Tegris Card is a blank attachment platform that mounts anywhere on the loop surface, allowing users to extend the Tegris attachment system into additional areas of the workspace. The MOLLE Card adds a standard MOLLE webbing surface for attaching third-party pouches and accessories to the SKILI system.

Pouches and Organizers

SKILI offers a range of pouches sized for the Ghost and Phantom workspace, including Clear Small, Clear Large, General Pouch, Large Mesh Bag, Small Mesh Bag, and a Dangler that attaches to the base of either pack. The Battery Holder and Shotshell Holder round out the workspace management options for specific role requirements.

The Materials Behind SKILI Gear

Every pack in the SKILI lineup uses the same material stack. 500D Cordura provides the exterior shell with proven abrasion resistance and tear strength. The 8-layer Tegris composite is a polypropylene structural material that combines rigidity with impact absorption. Unlike aluminium or polymer panels, Tegris is thermally stable across a wide temperature range, does not corrode, and can be formed into precise shapes without adding significant weight. SKILI uses it for structural workspace panels, rear attachment panels, and accessory cards throughout the system.

YKK zippers are used throughout. Hook and loop fasteners, nylon webbing, closed-cell foam padding, and air mesh backing complete the material list. Each of these choices reflects a deliberate decision about performance, weight, and durability for sustained field use rather than for the controlled conditions of a trade show floor.

The solution-dyeing process means NIR compliance is inherent to the fabric rather than applied as a coating that wears off over time. For units operating in environments where infrared detection is a realistic threat, this distinction matters. A dyed exterior that wears through is no longer NIR-compliant. A solution-dyed fabric is NIR-compliant for its entire service life.
