The MHA is the product most closely associated with True North Concepts, and for good reason. Traditional duty holsters are typically mounted using polymer belt adapters. While functional, polymer mounts introduce movement and flex between the belt and the holster body. Under load, during a draw stroke, or over a long duty shift, that flex compounds into an inconsistency that most users simply accept as part of the system.

True North Concepts approached the problem from a different angle. The MHA is machined from 0.190" thick 6061-T6 aluminium and clamps directly around the belt using aluminium belt bars, creating a rigid, flex-free interface between the belt and the holster. The clamping force eliminates the movement that polymer adapters permit, and because the platform is machined rather than moulded, tolerances are consistent across units.

The platform supports mid-ride carry, positioning the pistol below the belt line to clear body armour, cummerbunds and belt-mounted accessories. Cant is adjustable across a 20-degree range (10 degrees forward, 10 degrees rearward) and three vertical mounting positions spaced 12.7 mm apart allow the user to dial in the exact holster height for their body type, armour setup and draw preference. The MHA fits all Safariland three-hole pattern holsters and supports the QLS, MLS and ELS quick-detach systems.

The Rigid Holster Platform takes the same core idea as the MHA — a rigid aluminium holster mounting platform — and refines it in several important ways. The RHP was developed in collaboration with AXL Advanced and is designed for operators who need maximum stability and a more precise fit across a wider range of belt and body armour configurations.

Where the MHA offers 20 degrees of cant adjustment, the RHP provides 30 degrees (15 degrees forward, 15 degrees rearward), allowing a wider range of body positions, carry styles and body armour configurations to be accommodated without compromise. The back face of the RHP is curved to follow the contour of the body more naturally, increasing belt contact area for improved stability during extended wear. All mounting hardware is recessed into the platform, protecting it from impact and abrasion. The groove-and-boss belt interlocking system eliminates any residual belt movement under load.

The result is not a replacement for the MHA so much as a further development of the same concept. Both platforms achieve the same fundamental goal of rigid, adjustable holster mounting. The RHP does so with more cant range, more refined body contact, and a more refined hardware protection system. It supports the same Safariland three-hole pattern and QLS compatibility as the MHA.

The RHPP (Rigid Holster Platform Patrol) is the third and most compact platform in the True North Concepts holster mounting family. It brings the same rigid aluminium construction and adjustable architecture into a smaller footprint developed specifically around everyday patrol and duty requirements.

Where the full-size RHP is optimised for operators running body armour, plate carriers and full tactical belt systems, the RHPP is designed for users who want the stability of a rigid aluminium holster platform in a more compact form factor suited to plainclothes, plainclothes-adjacent, or lighter duty configurations. The three platforms — MHA, RHP, and RHPP — together give operators a genuine choice based on their specific mission profile rather than a single one-size-fits-all solution.

Beyond holster mounting, the GripStop is the other major part of the True North Concepts identity. Rather than functioning as a conventional vertical foregrip, the GripStop provides a compact reference surface for the support hand. Its geometry is designed to give the shooter a consistent hand placement point and improved weapon control under recoil, while maintaining a lower profile on the rail than a full-length foregrip.

The GripStop Standard (M-LOK aluminium) is the original and most widely used variant. It is machined from 6061-T6 aluminium with a low forward index surface and compatible with any M-LOK rail. The GripStop K uses the same material and finish in a more compact geometry, suited to rifles with shorter rail space, suppressor-heavy builds, or operators who prefer a tighter hand position. Both are available at Geartown in Black and Earth Brown.

The GripStop Picatinny brings the same hand stop concept to 1913 Picatinny-equipped rifles, pistols and carbines. It is available at Geartown in Black and Earth Brown. For operators who want a lighter or lower-cost option, True North Concepts also produces the GripStop Standard Polymer and GripStop K Polymer. The polymer versions deliver the same ergonomic geometry at a meaningfully reduced weight and price point, with no compromise to the reference surface or M-LOK mounting interface.

The Zero-8 takes the GripStop concept and adds a dimension of adjustability that fixed hand stops cannot provide. Rather than committing the support hand to one predetermined angle, the Zero-8 allows the grip angle to be adjusted between 0 and 8 degrees of cant. This is particularly relevant for operators who transition between a standard standing position and more compressed shooting positions, where the wrist angle that feels natural upright may cause fatigue or strain when shooting from cover or in confined spaces.

The Zero-8 is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium and follows the same design philosophy as the rest of the True North Concepts range: equipment should adapt to the user's body mechanics rather than requiring the user to adapt to a fixed product. The version currently available at Geartown is the V2 in Small size with M-LOK interface.
