The ICEPLATE® Gen 3 is the flagship of the Qore Performance lineup, but it was never intended to stand alone. The ICEAGE ecosystem includes two additional product families — the ICEFLASK® and the ICEVENTS® system — that address the same core challenge of thermal management from complementary directions. Together with the ICEPLATE®, they form a layered approach to heat management that covers more of the user's kit using only the gear positions that are already part of the loadout. No new pouches, no dedicated compartments, and no significant weight additions.
ICEFLASK: The Radio-Shaped Thermoregulation Canteen
The ICEFLASK® is a 500 ml thermoregulation canteen, and its defining characteristic is its shape. Rather than a round bottle or a flexible pouch, the ICEFLASK® has a flat, rectangular profile that precisely matches the external dimensions of a PRC-152 military radio: 7.6 cm wide, 25.4 cm tall, and 5 cm deep. That shape was not chosen for aesthetic reasons. It reflects a practical observation about how tactical equipment is actually configured in the field.
PRC-152 pouches are among the most common attachment points on plate carriers, chest rigs, and load-bearing equipment in current use worldwide. Many operators run a radio in some configurations but not in others. When a radio pouch is empty, it represents available real estate on the kit that currently serves no productive function. The ICEFLASK® was designed to occupy that space — turning an existing, already-mounted pouch into a hydration and thermoregulation point without requiring any new mounting hardware, additional pouches, or changes to the loadout. The user does not need to rebuild their kit configuration. They insert the ICEFLASK® into a pouch position they already have, and the pouch begins performing a second function.

ICEFLASK Thermoregulation Performance
Like the ICEPLATE®, the ICEFLASK® works through conductive heat transfer. When frozen, it delivers up to 23 watts of cooling power. When filled with hot water, it provides up to 17 watts of heating. These figures are lower than the ICEPLATE® because the ICEFLASK® is smaller and presents a smaller contact surface to the body — but they are meaningful contributions to a layered thermoregulation setup, particularly when two or more ICEFLASK® canteens are carried simultaneously on the front or sides of a carrier.
The ICEFLASK® is made from BPA-free, FDA-approved food-grade HDPE and is fully dishwasher safe, using a universal 28-410 thread for cap compatibility across the ICEAGE product ecosystem. As of March 2026, all ICEFLASK® canteens ship with a tethered Closed Cap to prevent cap loss in the field. The canteen is available in Ranger Green, and when carried in combination with an ICEPLATE® on the back, even a single ICEFLASK® on each side of a plate carrier creates a meaningfully more comprehensive thermoregulation setup than the ICEPLATE® alone.
An additional practical advantage of the ICEFLASK®'s geometry is that its flat rectangular profile allows multiple units to nest and stack together. This makes them useful not only as wearable thermoregulation tools but also as reusable cooling blocks for insulated cooler bags and pack-out situations — a small but useful multi-role capability for range and field use.
ICEFLASK Carry Options: Wing Holster and MOLLE Holster
For users whose plate carriers do not have a PRC-152 radio pouch, or who want to position the ICEFLASK® at a specific location on the carrier rather than in an existing pouch, Qore Performance offers two purpose-designed holster options. The Wing Holster mounts directly to the side panel of a plate carrier and positions the ICEFLASK® at the wing, accessible from either side without removing the carrier. The MOLLE Holster attaches to any MOLLE webbing and provides a traditional pouch-style mount that is compatible with virtually any MOLLE-equipped carrier, chest rig, or load-bearing equipment on the market.
Both holster options are available in MultiCam, Ranger Green, Coyote Brown, and Obsidian Black, and both include built-in loops and attachment points that allow additional retention cord — paracord, shock cord, or similar — to be rigged through the system for high-movement or airborne-compatible configurations. The holsters are sold with ICEFLASK® canteens to ensure correct fit and retention rather than as standalone accessories.

ICEVENTS: Airflow Where the Carrier Blocks It Most
While the ICEPLATE® and ICEFLASK® address thermal management through conductive heat transfer, the ICEVENTS® system addresses the same problem from an entirely different direction: ventilation. Where the water-based products directly remove heat through physical contact, ICEVENTS® aims to restore the conditions that allow the body to remove its own heat more effectively — by creating airflow in the area that a plate carrier normally seals off entirely.
ICEVENTS® products are thin ventilation and padding panels made from a hydrophobic, open-cell honeycomb TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) material engineered so that approximately 90 percent of the panel's volume is air rather than solid material. The result is a pad that provides cushioning and load distribution while simultaneously creating channels through which air can circulate between the body and the plate carrier. Without this kind of standoff, the carrier sits flush against the user's back, trapping body heat and preventing sweat from evaporating — the body's primary cooling mechanism is blocked by the equipment. ICEVENTS® creates just enough separation to allow airflow without adding meaningful weight. Each pad weighs approximately 31 gram.

ICEVENTS Specifications and Compatibility
The ICEVENTS® Classic Plate Carrier Ventilation Pontoons are designed to replace standard foam pads in Crye Precision AVS carriers and other loop-lined plate carriers. They attach via a permanently bonded hook-backed Velcro interface and are available in 2, 4, or 6 packs depending on the number of pad positions being replaced. The material is hydrophobic, abrasion-resistant, and antimicrobial — it sheds moisture rather than absorbing it, which means it does not add weight during prolonged wet or sweaty use. The operating temperature range runs from -40 to 92 degrees Celsius, covering any realistic operational or training environment. All ICEVENTS® products are manufactured in the United States from U.S.-sourced materials.
For users whose carriers are not AVS-compatible, the CATAMARAN Gen 3 is a universal MOLLE adapter system that allows ICEVENTS® pontoons to be mounted to virtually any plate carrier on the market, regardless of the internal attachment system. This extends the ventilation solution to the full range of commonly used carriers without requiring users to switch to a different platform. The ICEVENTS® lineup also includes the Aero shoulder pads for plate carrier shoulder straps and the Holster Pad for gun belt and holster mounting systems — extending the ventilation concept to other areas of the kit where heat and moisture commonly accumulate beyond the main torso panel.

The System Working Together
The most important thing to understand about the ICEFLASK® and ICEVENTS® is how they combine with the ICEPLATE® rather than functioning as standalone alternatives to it. A user running an ICEPLATE® in a plate carrier for primary back thermoregulation can add ICEFLASK® canteens to the wing or front positions for supplementary cooling on the sides and front of the torso. ICEVENTS® panels underneath the carrier improve the airflow environment in which all of this is happening, partially restoring the body's natural evaporative cooling in the space that the carrier would otherwise seal off completely.
The result is a layered approach that addresses heat management from multiple directions simultaneously: conductive cooling from the water-based products removing heat through direct contact, and convective cooling from the ICEVENTS® ventilation partially restoring airflow. Each layer addresses a part of the thermal problem that the others do not, using only the gear positions and surface areas that are already part of the loadout. Nothing in this system requires adding a new category of equipment to the kit. It requires using the equipment that is already there more intelligently.
