The Vectis is not a generic plate carrier with a few premium touches added on. Every element of its design reflects the input of professionals who operate in demanding environments. The carrier ships as a complete set consisting of a front plate bag, a rear plate bag, shoulder straps, a QD buckle, and an adapter. It is available in Medium and Large ESAPI sizing, and the Medium size also accommodates standard 10x12 plates, giving users flexibility without requiring additional hardware.
One of the standout design choices is the fully articulating shoulder system. Rather than locking the shoulders into a fixed position, the Vectis allows natural movement with the body, reducing fatigue and improving comfort during extended wear. The optional quick detach shoulder buckle and adapter are included with the carrier, and if the buckle system is ever compromised, the carrier can revert to Velcro shoulder straps without needing any additional parts. That kind of redundancy is exactly what professionals need in the field.
Front Plate Bag
The front plate bag is where the Vectis shows how much thought has gone into communications integration. PTT mounts and shock cord retainer holes are positioned on the front right, front left, and in an offset position on the sides, giving operators multiple options for mounting their push-to-talk devices. Laser cut channels allow cables to pass through to the internal admin space, keeping the outside of the carrier clean and snag-free.
The front plate bag features a Velcro placard architecture that is compatible with both the Crye AVS placard system and includes a bottom snap for maritime requirements. QASM buckles are included for attaching pouches directly to the front, while protected G-hook mounts add another attachment option. A front Velcro passthrough allows wing pouches to be tucked through the carrier body, which both secures them and opens up routing paths for cables and antennas. A built-in admin pocket on the front provides quick access storage without the need for any additional pouches.
Rear Plate Bag
The rear plate bag is equally well considered. It features UCAS and Crye compatible zippers with zipper stops that prevent accidental unzipping during movement, a detail that matters significantly in active situations. An internal plate security strap keeps the rear plate in place even when the cummerbund is being adjusted, so the plate position never shifts at an inconvenient moment.
The rear bag includes a 9x6 inch loop Velcro panel, tie-down points, and an internal Velcro passthrough for wing pouches, cables, and antennas. A Velcro one-wrap system manages external cables and antennas along the rear, and the rear plate bag natively supports whip antenna capability without requiring any additional accessories. Both the front and rear plate bags feature independent plate height adjustment, meaning the front and rear can be set separately to achieve the ideal fit regardless of body proportions or the type of plates being used.
Comms Routing and Cable Management
Communications routing is one of the areas where the Vectis genuinely stands out from the competition. The internal admin space along the shoulder straps serves dual purpose, handling both shoulder strap adjustment and cable management in the same area. Laser cut channels throughout the carrier allow cables to run internally and exit at precisely the points where they are needed, without creating clutter on the exterior. The Velcro one-wrap system on both the front and rear gives operators a clean way to secure antennas and external cables, and the whip antenna passthrough on the rear means radio antennas can be routed without any modifications or added accessories.
Compatibility
The Vectis has been designed with the broader tactical ecosystem in mind. The rear zippers are compatible with both UCAS and Crye systems, and the front placard interface accepts Crye AVS flaps. The Perroz Structural Cummerbund (PSC) is available separately and pairs directly with the Vectis as the recommended cummerbund option. The overall system is built to work with existing gear rather than requiring operators to rebuild their loadout from scratch.
