The Haley Strategic Padded PRC Pouch (Portable Radio Comm) is a low-profile, internally mounted radio pouch designed specifically for JTAC and RTO applications. Its padded construction helps reduce pressure points, discomfort and heat transfer caused by carrying larger military radios close to the body during extended operations.
The pouch features three-sided padding, providing additional insulation between the radio and the user. It mounts to the inside of cummerbunds, chest rigs and placards using VELCRO® Brand hook and loop, keeping the radio securely positioned while maintaining a streamlined external profile.
The bottom retention strap can be moved from one side to the other, allowing the pouch to be configured for left- or right-side carry.

The Padded PRC Pouch is dimensioned for military handheld radios including:

- PRC-161
- PRC-163
- PRC-148 MBITR
- Other similarly sized handheld radios
Haley Strategic notes that most smaller non-military radios, including many Hytera, Motorola and Baofeng models, are too small for this pouch.
Platform Compatibility
The Padded PRC Pouch is directly compatible with Haley Strategic Chest Rigs and Placards, as well as the Thorax Plate Carrier. It can also integrate with suitable platforms featuring the necessary internal hook-and-loop interface.
