Platatac SOF Smock
The Platatac SOF Smock is a modern tactical field smock that combines traditional military smock functionality with contemporary materials, fit and field-focused features. Developed with input from Special Operations personnel, it is designed for demanding environments where protection, storage and freedom of movement are essential.
Its relaxed, unlined construction allows the smock to be worn as a standalone outer layer or over additional clothing in colder conditions. Extensive storage, reinforced high-wear areas and adjustable features make it a versatile choice for professional, tactical and outdoor use.
Built for Field Use
The SOF Smock features an adjustable waist and hem, allowing the fit to be adapted to the user and equipment being worn underneath. Adjustable cuffs combine hook-and-loop closure with elastic for a secure fit around gloves or other equipment.
An oversized adjustable hood provides additional protection and is designed to accommodate a helmet. When not required, the hood can be rolled away into the collar.
The extended rear provides additional coverage when sitting, kneeling or operating in poor weather conditions.
Extensive Storage
The Platatac SOF Smock provides substantial integrated storage with six large bellows-style main pockets. Covered slotted buttons allow the pockets to remain practical to operate even when wearing gloves.
Two concealed zippered pockets are positioned behind the main chest pockets, while additional bicep pockets provide convenient storage and feature hook-and-loop fields for identification or patches.
A large internal rear poacher’s pocket adds further carrying capacity for larger equipment. Internal paracord attachment points help secure important items.
Ventilation & Reinforcement
Underarm ventilation zippers provide additional airflow during periods of increased activity and help regulate temperature without requiring the smock to be removed.
The elbows feature a reinforced double-layer construction and can accommodate soft elbow pads. The hood and shoulder areas are also double layered for additional durability and protection in high-wear areas.
A heavy-duty double-ended front zipper allows flexible adjustment and is protected by a hook-and-loop storm flap.

Materials & Construction
The Platatac SOF Smock is constructed from a 50/50 NYCO fabric with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish, combining durability with additional protection against light rain and moisture.
Reinforced areas and heavy-duty components are used throughout the design to provide a dependable outer layer for demanding field conditions.
Fit & Sizing
The SOF Smock has a relaxed cut designed to provide sufficient room for layering underneath. This makes it suitable for use across changing temperatures and conditions without unnecessarily restricting movement.
