The Shaw Concepts ARC Placard V4 is the latest evolution of Shaw Concepts’ highly modular ARC Placard system. Designed to bridge the gap between traditional MOLLE magazine pouches and modern placards, the V4 provides an exceptionally adaptable front-panel platform for plate carriers and chest rigs.
Rather than locking the user into a fixed three-magazine configuration, the ARC Placard V4 uses a large expandable main pocket that can be configured around different weapon systems, magazine types and mission requirements. The same placard can be kept slim for a minimalist setup or expanded into a significantly higher-capacity configuration when additional ammunition or equipment is required.
Expandable Magazine Capacity
At the heart of the ARC Placard V4 is its expandable main pocket. While many conventional placards are limited to three 5.56 magazines or two .308 magazines, the V4 can accommodate configurations including four 5.56 magazines across, up to six double-stacked M4/STANAG magazines, or three .308 magazines.
This gives the user the ability to increase ammunition capacity without having to replace the complete placard. Depending on the configuration, Shaw Concepts notes that this can provide an additional 30–90 rounds in the prime real estate at the front of the carrier.
Two included lengths of shock cord with CordLocs allow the pocket expansion to be controlled according to the load being carried.
Multi-Caliber Insert Compatibility
The interior features hook-and-loop Velcro® for use with interchangeable magazine inserts. The ARC Placard V4 is designed to work alongside Shaw Concepts’ RAM Inserts, SPCTR Inserts and OmniStacker™ Inserts, allowing the placard to be adapted to different magazine types and equipment configurations.
This modular approach makes it possible to reconfigure the same base placard when changing weapon systems rather than requiring an entirely different front panel.

Extensive PALS Integration
The ARC Placard V4 provides considerably more expansion capability than a conventional slick placard.
The front features PALS attachment points with up to 8 rows × 3 columns, while additional PALS mounting points are positioned along the sides and bottom. This provides mounting options for additional pouches and mission-specific equipment while retaining the expandable internal pocket.
A large front Velcro® loop field measuring approximately 9 inches wide × 3 inches tall, increasing to 4 inches in the center, provides additional space for identification, patches and compatible hook-backed accessories.
Adjustable Plate Carrier Integration
The ARC Placard V4 features adjustable Velcro® mounting straps with interchangeable 1-inch hardware, allowing the placard height to be adjusted to suit different carriers and user preferences.
The rear uses a large 9.25 × 5-inch hook backing for secure attachment to compatible plate carriers and chest rigs.
Side loops also provide compatibility with split-bar FirstSpear Tubes™ and 1-inch hardware, further expanding the integration possibilities.
