IcePlate® Curve: Cooling and Hydration Inside Your Plate Carrier
The IcePlate Curve fits between your body and your ballistic plate — the space that is normally dead, wasted, and heat-trapping. It holds 1.5 litres of water and, when frozen before a mission, delivers up to 70 watts of conductive cooling power directly against your torso. To put that in perspective: a standard desk fan delivers around 10 to 20 watts of cooling through airflow. The IcePlate does more than three times that, and it needs no wind to do it.
Fill it with hot water instead and you flip the equation entirely, getting conductive heating for cold weather operations. The same system that keeps you functional in a Middle Eastern summer keeps you warm on a mountain operation in winter. When frozen, you get roughly four hours of body temperature cooling. With hot water, about three hours of warming. One piece of kit, two problems solved.
What makes conductive cooling fundamentally different from sweat or evaporative cooling is that it doesn't depend on humidity or airflow. In a vehicle, a confined space, or a humid environment where sweat just sits on your skin and does nothing, the IcePlate keeps working. It draws heat out of your core through direct physical contact — simple physics applied intelligently.
The IcePlate Curve is ESAPI-contoured, meaning it follows the natural curve of your body inside the carrier. It is compatible with virtually all major plate carriers including Spiritus Systems, Ferro Concepts and LBT. It also eliminates the need for a separate hydration pack on your back. Your water is now inside your armour, not adding to your silhouette or snagging on anything behind you.
IceFlask®: The Canteen Built for Operators, Not Hikers
The IceFlask is a 500 ml canteen shaped precisely to fit a NATO PRC-152 radio pouch. It slots into the same pouches your radio uses, mounts to MOLLE, and sits on your carrier or chest rig exactly where you need accessible water, without adding bulk or requiring a dedicated hydration pouch.
But it is not just a water bottle that happens to be radio-shaped. When frozen, it delivers 23 watts of conductive cooling against whatever it is in contact with. Filled with hot water, it provides 17 watts of heating. It weighs 136 grams empty and is made from BPA-free, FDA-approved food-safe HDPE. Dishwasher safe, leak-proof, odourless and built to take abuse.
The 28-410 thread makes it directly compatible with the Platypus Quickdraw and Sawyer Squeeze water filtration systems. That means you can collect water from any source in the field, filter it through the IceFlask, and drink from the same bottle. No pouring, no extra steps. The IceFlask also integrates with CANA Provisions Water Data, which prints field water treatment instructions directly onto the bottle surface for operators who want that reference on hand without carrying anything extra.

It goes inside your carrier, maximises contact surface area against your core, and delivers high-wattage cooling or heating over several hours. That is the main event.
The IceFlask is modular and versatile. It goes wherever you need accessible water, delivers supplemental thermal benefit, and works completely independently of whether you are wearing a plate carrier. A lot of operators run both: IcePlate Curve in the carrier for primary thermal regulation, IceFlasks on the chest rig or cummerbund for hydration and extra cooling capacity.
